SixMap CTEM, Automated Cyber Defense wins DOD SBIR Awards from Air Force and Army

In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, maintaining a competitive edge in cybersecurity is crucial to our national defense. At SixMap, we are proud to announce significant milestones that highlight our commitment to innovation and our strategic collaboration with the US Department of Defense (DoD). These awards underscore the value and potential of SixMap’s Automated Cyber Defense Platform to provide advanced capabilities and cybersecurity services to government agencies and corporate enterprises.

New Collaboration with the US Air Force

We are excited about our Phase I SBIR award from the US Air Force’s AFWERX, the innovation arm of the Department of the Air Force (DAF) and a directorate within the Air Force Research Laboratory. This Air Force Phase I contract is SixMap’s third SBIR award from the DoD.

The new contract focuses on developing capabilities addressing the unique cyber defense challenges of the DAF. The Phase I award will enable us to apply the platform’s advanced computational mapping technology to enhance the Air Force’s cybersecurity defenses, providing comprehensive visibility and proactive mitigation of imminent threats.

AFWERX’s streamlined SBIR process accelerates the transition from proposal to award, allowing innovative companies like SixMap to bring cutting-edge solutions to the forefront of national defense. Our work with the Air Force underscores the critical need for advanced, automated defense mechanisms to protect critical Internet-facing assets.

US Army Collaboration Proceeds to Next Phase

In 2022, the US Army awarded SixMap a SBIR Phase I contract. In 2023, upon successful completion of the first phase, SixMap was awarded a US Army SBIR Phase II contract to deploy our Automated Cyber Defense Platform on Army networks worldwide and research new capabilities that would support additional Army use cases, needs, and requirements. The U.S. Army SBIR partnership brings SixMap’s capabilities to Army network operators and cyber defenders with an automated platform to support global visibility and proactive action.

What It Means for SixMap Customers

The DoD’s high standards for implementation and R&D partnerships continue to validate the SixMap Automated Cyber Defense Platform and allow our commercial sector customers to benefit from subject matter expertise and capabilities tackling the military’s most critical modernization challenges.
